LCD panel type 1, TN panel TN is called Twisted Nematic (Twisted Nematic) panel. The low production cost makes TN the most widely used entry-level LCD panel. It is widely used in mainstream low-end LCD displays on the market. At present, most of the TN panels we see are modified TN+film, film is the compensation film, which is used to make up for the lack of viewing angle of the TN panel. The viewing angle of the improved TN panel is now 160°, of course, this is the manufacturer. The limit value measured with a contrast ratio of 10:1 actually shows distortion or even color cast when the contrast drops to 100:1. As a 6Bit panel, the TN panel can only display 64 colors of red/green/blue, and the maximum actual color is only 262.144. The VA panel can be divided into MVA panels led by Fujitsu and PVA panels developed by Samsung, the latter being the inheritance and improvement of the former. The front (right) contrast of the VA panel is the highest, but the uniformity of the screen is not good enough, and color drift often occurs. The sharp text is its killer, and the black and white contrast is quite high. LCD panel type 3, IPS panel The advantages of the IPS panel are high viewing angle, fast response, accurate color reproduction and low price. However, the disadvantage is that the light leakage problem is more serious, the black purity is not enough, and it is slightly worse than the PVA, so it is necessary to rely on the compensation of the optical film to achieve a better black. Currently IPS panels are mainly produced by LG-Philips. Compared with other types of panels, the screen of the IPS panel is relatively "hard", and it is not easy to appear water-like deformation when gently swiped by hand, so it is also known as a hard screen. When you look at the screen carefully, if you see a fish-scale pixel that is oriented to the left, plus a hard screen, you can be sure that it is an IPS panel. Since the electric field on the pixel electrode is continuously changed, this wide viewing angle mode is referred to as a "continuous flame-like arrangement" mode. The CPA is mainly promoted by Sharp, the father of LCD. It should be noted that the ASV that Sharp has always advocated does not refer to a specific wide viewing angle technology. It uses a wide viewing angle of TN+Film, VA and CPA. The products of technology are collectively referred to as ASV. In fact, only the CPA model is Sharp's own wide-angle technology, which is basically equivalent to MVA and PVA. In other words, the Sharp brand LCD TV is not necessarily the CPA mode LCD panel produced by Sharp itself. It may use the VA mode panel of Taiwan manufacturers or the LCD panel of other manufacturers. Sharp's CPA panel has true color reproduction, excellent viewing angle, fine images, and high price, and Sharp rarely sells CPA panels to other manufacturers. The CPA panel is also a soft screen.
