The "MULTIPULLING" technology enables the simultaneous creation of multiple silicon crystals within a single process cycle, thanks to an auxiliary feeding system. This advancement allows manufacturers in the solar energy sector to significantly reduce production costs, giving them a competitive edge in a market that has been increasingly affected by price competition. Once produced, these crystals are further processed into solar wafers through additional steps.
Compared to alternative methods such as the "continuous Czochralski method," "MULTIPULLING" offers a simpler design, greater process stability, and improved efficiency. These advantages make it a more attractive option for large-scale production in the solar industry, with the potential to greatly enhance profitability.
To support this innovative process, PVA TePla AG provides two types of supplementary feeding devices: the mobile "SiCharger" or "Mobile Recharging System" (MRS), and the stationary "Fixed Charging System" (FCS). These systems can be used to produce various types and sizes of polysilicon materials. Additionally, existing crystal production systems can be upgraded with these devices, allowing the simultaneous production of at least two custom-designed crystals in one process cycle.
A crucial aspect of the "MULTIPULLING" technology is its collaboration with photovoltaic industry partners in the research project "CzSil," which focuses on cost-effective and thinner silicon wafer production using a Czochralski straight-pull method. The feeding device features a robust structure, ultra-high precision, and an intuitive user interface, making it both reliable and easy to use.
This innovation not only improves the efficiency of crystal production but also supports the ongoing efforts to make solar energy more affordable and sustainable.
