China's anti-dumping investigation against EU amines
The Ministry of Commerce issued an announcement on June 29 and received an official anti-dumping investigation application filed by Jiangsu Huaihe Chemical Co., Ltd. on behalf of the domestic industry. The applicant requested an anti-dumping investigation against imported amines originating in the EU. . The Ministry of Commerce reviewed the evidence provided in the application concerning dumping, damage, and the causal relationship between dumping and damage. The preliminary evidence provided by the applicant showed that the applicant’s amine output of Jiangsu Huaihe Chemical Co., Ltd. accounted for more than 50% of the total output of similar products in China during the same period in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. The Ministry of Commerce decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation against imported amines originating in the European Union starting from June 29. The dumping investigation period determined in this investigation was from January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2011.
