Correct understanding of hinges in wooden door hardware

When it comes to the hardware of interior doors, many people tend to focus on the aesthetics and comfort of the door handle, as well as its strength and durability. However, they often overlook a crucial component: the hinge. Especially when manufacturers hide the hinge inside the door panel under the guise of design, consumers are unable to see or feel it. This not only makes it easier for some sellers to engage in "brand packaging," but also poses hidden risks that could affect daily use.

If a hinge breaks while using the door, it can be frustrating for the user. In such cases, the entire door panel might fall to the ground, and immediate repair is not always possible. The internal structure of the hinge can make repairs take a month or longer, causing unnecessary inconvenience. Therefore, when choosing an interior door, it's wise to prioritize exposed hinges—especially if you're going for a reputable brand. Exposed hinges allow for easier inspection and maintenance, helping you avoid potential problems down the line.

Ordinary hinges are commonly used for cabinets, windows, and doors. They are typically made from iron, copper, or stainless steel. One major drawback of standard hinges is that they lack the spring mechanism found in more advanced models. Without additional components like door stops, the door may swing open due to wind or movement.

Pipe hinges, also known as spring hinges, are designed for furniture doors and require a plate thickness of 16 to 20 mm. These hinges are usually made from galvanized iron or zinc alloy and come with adjustment screws that allow for fine-tuning of the door’s alignment. One of their key features is the ability to match different opening angles, such as 90°, 127°, 144°, and even 165°, depending on the space and need. This flexibility ensures that doors can be opened and closed smoothly, regardless of the layout.

Door hinges are divided into two main types: standard and bearing. The bearing type is further categorized into copper and stainless steel options. Currently, copper-bearing hinges are more popular among consumers because they offer a stylish appearance, are cost-effective, and are easy to install with screws.

In addition to these, there are other specialized hinges such as glass hinges, countertop hinges, and hinged hinges. Glass hinges, for example, are specifically designed for frameless glass doors and require the glass to be no thicker than 5 to 6 mm. These hinges provide a sleek and modern look while ensuring secure installation.

Infrared Sauna Room

An infrared sauna room is a type of sauna that uses infrared heaters to emit radiant heat, which is then absorbed by the body. Unlike traditional saunas that heat the air around you, infrared saunas directly heat your body, allowing for a more efficient and comfortable experience.

The infrared heaters in the sauna emit infrared radiation, which is the same type of heat that is produced by the sun. This heat penetrates deep into the body, promoting relaxation, detoxification, and various health benefits. The temperature in an infrared sauna room is typically lower than in a traditional sauna, making it more tolerable for longer sessions.

Apart from the physical benefits, sauna rooms are often used for relaxation and stress relief. The heat and steam create a soothing environment that can help calm the mind and reduce anxiety. Sauna sessions can also promote better sleep and improve overall mood.
