Nearly 30% of formaldehyde in artificial paint plate exceeded

In order to strengthen the supervision on the quality of building materials and promote the development of environmentally-friendly decorative materials, the Bureau of Quality Supervision of Qingdao Municipality conducted quality inspections on the four types of building materials such as latex paints, ceramic tiles, waterproof coatings and man-made boards produced and sold in the city. Sampling notification was issued yesterday, in which the pass rate of ceramic tiles reached 94.0%, while the pass rate of formaldehyde content in wood-based panels was only 67.4%.

The sampling of latex paint involves 5 production enterprises in the city and 16 sales companies. A total of 25 batches were sampled, of which 17 were qualified, and the qualification rate of physical quality was 68.0%. The main unqualified items in the spot check are washability and contrast ratio. Scrub resistance is the extent to which latex paint is resistant to scrubbing in wet conditions after use. If it is unqualified, after the product is used, it will easily produce peeling and falling off when it is used, which will affect the use effect. The contrast ratio is the thickness of the paint film after the product is used. The degree of coverage of the bottom layer is unqualified. When the consumer uses it, the exposed bottom layer will appear as normal. In order to achieve a certain effect, it is necessary to increase the amount, increase the amount of construction, and increase the use cost.

Ceramic tiles were sampled in 50 batches, of which 47 batches were qualified, and the pass rate of physical quality batches was 94.0%. Sampling involves one manufacturing company in the city and 43 sales companies. The quality supervision and spot check of the ceramic tile, the inspection project is a dimensional deviation, water absorption rate, breaking strength, fracture modulus, frost resistance and radionuclide a total of six. The main unqualified items are damage intensity and water absorption. Destruction strength is an important indicator reflecting the strength and quality of ceramic tiles, that is, the ability to resist external forces. If it is not qualified, it will easily cause fracture or deformation during use, which will seriously affect the effect of use. The water absorption rate is an index reflecting the ease of water absorption of the ceramic tile, and actually reflects the size of the void in the ceramic tile. If it is unacceptable, the moisture that has been inhaled due to the temperature change during use will expand, and cracks or even cracks will easily occur. At the same time, the dirt in the water will be inhaled and cannot be eliminated. Accumulation will obviously affect the appearance.

A total of 30 batches of waterproof coatings were sampled, of which 22 batches were qualified. The qualification rate of physical quality was 73.3%. The samples involved 3 waterproof coating production enterprises and 23 sales enterprises in the city. The inspection items for quality supervision and spot checks of waterproof coatings are: tensile strength, elongation at break, low temperature bending, solid content, water impermeability, surface dry time, and dry time. The major unqualified items are elongation at break and solids content. Elongation at break is an indicator for evaluating the flexibility of a waterproof coating after its use. The elongation at break is large, the flexibility is high, and the brittleness is reduced. On the contrary, flexibility can be reduced and brittleness can be increased. If the elongation at break is not acceptable, the waterproof coating will not have sufficient flexibility during use, and cracks or even cracks will easily occur, resulting in loss of waterproof performance. The solid content is the content of the solid formed after the application of the waterproof coating is brushed and dried, and the content of volatile substances such as moisture evaporated during the drying process is indirectly measured. If the solid content is unacceptable, that is, if the moisture content is too high, the strength index and drying time will be affected, which will cause inconvenience to the construction.

A total of 43 batches of formaldehyde were sampled from man-made boards, of which 29 batches were qualified. The pass rate of physical quality was 67.4%. Sampling involves 5 wood-based board manufacturers and 26 sales companies in the city.
