The range of auto parts products for pilot remanufacturing is tentatively scheduled for five categories: engines, gearboxes, generators, starters, and steering gears. According to Zhu Fushou, Dongfeng Hongtai has mastered all the processes of automobile dismantling and remanufacturing. Dongfeng Cummins has also started the remanufacturing of engine parts and components, and now has the capacity to remanufacture 3,000 units per year. Dongfeng also plans to invest 200 million yuan in three years to build a 300-mu auto parts remanufacturing pilot base.
