This was inconvenient, especially for the elderly or children, who often forgot to do so. As a result, security vulnerabilities remained, leading to numerous reported cases of theft or unauthorized access. To address this issue, the third generation of inserts introduced the “big tongue auto pop-up” technology. Developed by industry leader Dijks, this innovation eliminated the need for manual locking by using a sealed capsule sensing system instead of a motor. This reduced internal friction and enabled the large tongue to automatically extend, providing a seamless locking experience that aligned better with user habits and enhanced security. Although this advancement was significant, the third-generation inserts still had limitations. They could not automatically retract the heaven and earth rods, which left some security gaps. This led to the development of the fourth generation of inserts, known as the multi-point tongue self-propelled model. The fourth-generation inserts, developed by Dijer, took the technology even further. They featured both the large tongue and the heaven and earth rods popping up automatically, significantly increasing the product’s technical sophistication and security performance. This model is currently considered the most advanced in the industry, meeting the growing demand for smart, secure, and user-friendly locks. Despite its advantages, the fourth-generation insert is still relatively rare due to its high technical complexity and cost. Many companies continue to rely on the second-generation models. However, as technology continues to evolve, this advanced design is expected to become more widespread, enhancing the convenience and safety of daily life. Industry experts agree that while current fingerprint lock technology meets many modern needs, there is still room for improvement. To move forward, the industry must focus not only on lock body design but also on optimizing the core inserts. Enhancing the intelligence of the core will help lead the way toward a future where fingerprint lock technology is more precise, reliable, and integrated into everyday living.
