New environmentally-friendly dustproof net replaces traditional dense mesh
Yesterday afternoon, the Municipal Construction Bureau organized a site inspection meeting on construction quality, safety, and civilized management at the second phase of Yulan Garden in Greentown. The event focused on sharing best practices in housing leak prevention, building standard model houses, and dust control, drawing attention from all construction units across the city.
A new environmentally-friendly dust-proof net has been introduced, offering improved dust control, noise reduction, and flame resistance. This innovative solution is gaining recognition for its effectiveness and sustainability.
At the construction site of Building 5 in the second phase of Yulan Garden, the external wall maintenance used an "interlocking fishnet structure." According to engineering technicians, this is a new type of environmentally-friendly dust-proof net used in the project. Unlike traditional mesh, it consists of 90cm×1.2m panels joined together using a slot-type connection method. It performs better than conventional dense mesh in terms of dust suppression, noise reduction, fire resistance, and durability.
Xiao Chen, an engineering technician, explained that the new dust-proof net is made of high-strength recyclable plastic. Each panel features blades and silencing points, significantly reducing noise levels. “If widely adopted, it can reduce the annoying noises from construction sites, benefiting both workers and nearby residents. Additionally, the fully enclosed environmental protection dust net effectively prevents dust from spreading,†he said.
The net also includes ventilation holes and card slots on the sides, allowing for easy combination and installation. This method provides a more secure and stable fix compared to previous techniques, offering better impact resistance and enhanced safety during construction activities.
Although the new dust-proof net costs about three times more than traditional materials, its high reusability makes it cost-effective over multiple projects. “From a comprehensive economic and time-saving perspective, the new environmentally-friendly dust net is not expensive. It reflects the principles of green construction,†Xiao Chen added.
This new dust-proof net was first applied in Wuxi at Greentown Magnolia West Garden. Currently, it is being used only on the 4th to 18th floors of Building 5, with plans to expand its use in future projects.
In addition to the new dust-proof net, the city has implemented a multi-pronged approach to dust control. At the Yulan Garden site, 180-degree spray devices are installed every 3 meters along transport corridors and material storage areas. These devices help suppress dust during vehicle and material movement, with spraying adjusted based on weather conditions. The mortar mixer is fully enclosed, and some materials are covered with telescopic dust covers to prevent dust spread.
Outside the construction enclosure, there are green willows and lush greenery inside the site. The second phase of Yulan Garden has five green areas covering nearly 500 square meters, contributing to better air quality and aesthetics.
The local construction department launched the “Double Hundred Days†initiative to improve dust control at construction sites. As part of this effort, over 100 kilograms of grass seeds were distributed free of charge to project departments. They are required to plant grass on bare soil to increase green coverage and improve air quality. Each site must also implement customized dust reduction measures according to their specific conditions.
This innovative dust-proof net marks a significant step forward in sustainable and safe construction practices in Wuxi.

Chemical Industry Mass Flow Meter
Sealand is a professional supplier of Chemical Mass Flow Meter, Chemical Mass Flowmeter, Chemical Flowmeter, Chemical Flow Meter, Chemical Coriolis Meter, ATEX, IECEx & CE approved.
The meter can work with a pulse receiver(Count). The connection is as follows. The resistance value is up to the cable length & the max. input pulse frequency of receiver. Current 10mA is suitable for most receivers; however, you can reduce the resistance value when the cable is long. The max. current could be 50mA. Please use the fixed frequency output function to check if the cable length & resistance value is suitable.
Please check following items before operation, and operate according to relevant rules.
a) If the meter is damaged during shipment and installation;
b) If the voltage is same as marked on nameplate;
c) If the fuse is correct;
d) If the meter is grounded properly.
e) If the Meter SN on the nameplate of sensor and transmitter are the same.
If everything is fine, please open all valves, make the pipeline full of liquid and then power on
the meter for warm-up for 20min before operation. Finally, conduct zero calibration after first
start, and shall do it again if the meter is moved to another site.
Preparation for zero calibration:
a) Power on the meter for approximately 20min for warm-up;
b) Run the process fluid through the sensor until the sensor temperature reaches the normal
process operating temperature.
c) Close the shutoff valve downstream from the sensor.
d) Ensure that the sensor is filled with fluid and the process flow has completely stopped.
