Shaanxi Zhongsen successfully launched the world's leading solar component simulator

In March 2014, Shaanxi Zhongsen Power Technology Co., Ltd. made a significant breakthrough by launching the world's most advanced solar module simulator, the GIV-2A model. Designed with an A+A+A+ internal standard, this simulator exceeds international benchmarks (IEC60904-9) by more than double in all performance indicators. Recently, it successfully passed certification from the China Metrology Institute, solidifying its position as a global leader in photovoltaic testing technology. One of the key improvements is the expansion of the test area from 2000 x 1100mm to 2000 x 2000mm, making it ideal for testing large-area and double-glass solar modules. The spectral mismatch has also been significantly reduced—from 25% (originally A-level) to under 10%, ensuring that the light simulated closely resembles natural sunlight. The irradiance uniformity was originally rated at A-class (2%) and has now been improved to 1%, resulting in greater test stability and fewer variations between devices. Actual measurements show results of 0.56% in the 2000 x 2000mm range and 0.30% in the 2000 x 1200mm range. Irradiance instability has also been reduced from 2% (A-class) to 1%, with real-world measurements reaching as low as 0.06%. Additionally, the spectral range has been extended from 400–1100nm to 300–1100nm, enabling more efficient and comprehensive component testing. Since 2000, Shaanxi Zhongsen has been dedicated to researching and manufacturing solar module simulators. It has consistently held the top position in the market and its equipment has been exported to developed countries in Europe and North America.
