Chengdu Furniture Fair has a new breakthrough

In 2000, the first Chengdu International Furniture Industry Exhibition covered just around 5,000 square meters. By 2008, the Ninth Chengdu Furniture Exhibition saw a significant expansion, marking the first time it adopted the "show shop linkage" model, which combined exhibition with retail. In 2012, the Chengdu Furniture Fair not only reached a new scale but also achieved a major breakthrough in innovation and influence. So, what exactly is the "Great Chengdu Furniture Fair"? According to Jiang Hua, the project leader of the organizing committee and assistant general manager of Chengdu New Oriental Exhibition Co., Ltd., this year's event, themed "Creativity · Change Life," will take place at the New International Convention and Exhibition Center of Century City. The fair includes nine indoor pavilions and three outdoor exhibition areas, covering a total of 120,000 square meters. Additionally, it has formed a "show shop linkage" with Bayi Furniture City’s bedroom furniture section and the living room furniture area at Taipingyuan. It also collaborates with Yuanrui International Home Mall, featuring Hall 10 as the "Yuanrui Hall." This marks a new chapter for the Chengdu Furniture Fair, integrating more deeply with the local market. The main venue of the fair now focuses on nationwide participation. Over the past 11 years, the Chengdu Furniture Fair has become a top platform for domestic furniture trade in China, drawing attention from leading companies, professional buyers, and industry experts. Last year alone, over 100,000 dealers from across the country visited, creating substantial business opportunities. On-site turnover exceeded 6 billion yuan, a remarkable figure that highlights its importance. This year’s event emphasizes two key features: greater resource integration and more high-end activities. During the exhibition, several major events will be held, including the "China Home Furnishing President Summit Forum," a delegation from the National Furniture Association consisting of secretaries-general from over 30 provincial associations, and gatherings of national media editors. There will also be exclusive events like "Yuanrui Night · Chinese Furniture Red Wine Salon." These activities will bring together top figures from the national furniture industry, making July a pivotal month for the sector in Chengdu. Another highlight this year is the introduction of the "Yuanrui Pavilion." This collaboration with Yuanrui International Home Furnishing Mall marks a new attempt for the fair. Yuanrui International Home Mall spans 1,600 acres with a construction area of 1.7 million square meters and an investment of approximately 4.9 billion yuan. Once completed, it will be the largest furniture trading base in western China. The first phase of the mall will open alongside the Chengdu Furniture Fair. Yu Kejian, Chairman of Yuanrui International Furniture Mall, stated that this is the second year for Yuanrui to establish itself in the Chengdu furniture distribution market. He sees the partnership with the Chengdu Furniture Fair as an excellent opportunity to showcase their brand and attract more customers. Meanwhile, Jiang Hua emphasized that through such collaborations, the fair is no longer just an exhibition—it has evolved into a large-scale "Great Chengdu Furniture Fair," backed by strong manufacturing bases in Chengdu and the southwest, as well as a thriving home furnishing trade network.
