According to information obtained from the Shijiazhuang Construction Bureau, the city has implemented stricter measures to control atmospheric pollution. As part of these efforts, construction sites are now required to enhance dust management. Specifically, the height of barriers along main urban roads must be at least 3 meters, while other road sections should have barriers no less than 2.5 meters high. The use of dense mesh safety nets on the exterior of construction projects has also been standardized to ensure better environmental protection and site safety.

In line with the new regulations, all construction sites must adopt a closed management system. The materials used for the barriers must be either brick or special metal structures, ensuring both safety and aesthetic appeal. Open or makeshift fencing is strictly prohibited. The height of the barriers must meet specific standards: 3 meters for main roads and 2.5 meters for other areas. Both sides of brick walls should be plastered and painted in a uniform color—gray from top to bottom, with white in the middle and gray glazed tiles on the roof. Metal barriers must also follow strict uniformity guidelines. The gate width should be at least 6 meters, and the height must not be less than 4 meters. A company logo and project name should be clearly displayed at the entrance, along with safety and construction-related signs. Lighting, such as neon or light boxes, should be installed to ensure visibility at night.

Construction sites must also use compliant dense mesh safety nets around the main structures. These nets should remain neat, secure, and undamaged throughout the project. This helps prevent the spillage of building materials, waste, and debris, reducing dust and pollution during construction activities.

A representative from the Municipal Construction Bureau’s Safety Supervision Station confirmed that current enforcement teams are conducting inspections across the city. Any construction site found non-compliant will be required to make immediate corrections to meet the new standards.
